Pressure & Gravity Pipe Networks
We specialise in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining public reticulation networks across all three waters (i.e., potable water, wastewater, and stormwater). Our services range from condition assessments and performance analysis to developing Long Term Plans (LTPs) and Infrastructure Strategies. With deep expertise in both trenched and trenchless construction methods, we will work collaboratively with our clients to design and deliver tailored reticulation networks that are safe, cost-effective, and efficient to build, operate, and maintain.
Pump Stations
Weir brings extensive expertise in designing and delivering municipal-scale pump stations across all three waters, including major flood mitigation schemes. Our team has deep knowledge of pump hydraulics, pressure networks and transients, enabling us to offer a wide range of specialised services. In addition to designing new pump stations, our expertise includes forensic investigations to diagnose issues and enhance the performance of existing pump stations and rising mains.
Attenuation & Bifurcation Systems
With our strong foundation in hydraulic analysis and design, our team can help develop advanced flow management solutions to address a range of drivers, including regulatory and environmental compliance. These solutions can include the design of weirs and orifice structures to manage or redirect flows within reticulation networks or treatment facilities and large-scale flood mitigation schemes. In these broader applications, attenuation and bifurcation systems can regulate flows under varying conditions, supporting preserving natural processes such as baseflows and fish passage.
Scour & Erosion Protection
Our scour and erosion protection solutions are designed to safeguard infrastructure, preserve natural waterways, and enhance the durability and resilience of critical assets. Our services cover various applications spanning coastal and river protection measures to preserve foundations for new infrastructure such as reticulation networks, outfall structures, road and railway embankments, and bridges.
Transient Analysis (Surge & Water Hammer)
Pressure surges in pipelines can lead to serious consequences, including costly repairs, operational downtime, and community disruption. With our extensive experience in pump stations and pressure pipelines, our specialist hydraulic engineers can identify and assess transient risks.
